The Asian Studies Program at UMBC invites you to explore the history, culture, languages and literatures, societies, politics, economics, philosophy, art and music of Asia. Close to twenty faculty members and language instructors offer students the opportunity to follow an interdisciplinary course of study towards a Major, a Minor, or a Certificate.

The program will equip you with the knowledge and skills—including foreign languages—to help prepare you for various professional paths related to Asia, such as advanced academic research, international relations, international business and trade, governmental service, and international law.

Please contact us for more information or to schedule an appointment for advising. We look forward to hearing from you.
